What Are The Employment Requirements For Drivers?

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 
 
Education/Experience:
  1. Valid Class A CDL with TWIC, HAZMAT, and Tank Endorsement
  2. Minimum of 24 months commercial driving experience
  3. Knowledge of CFR DOT 195,199 regulations, FRA, AREMA as well as OSHA regulations
  4. No more than 2 major moving violations within a 3-year period
  5. No more than 2 accidents within a 3-year period
  6. DOT Drug Screening required
  7. No Felony convictions
  8. No DUI's/ DWI's within the last 7 years
  9. No positive or refused drug or alcohol tests
  10. Legally authorized to work in the US on a regular, full-time basis withoutrestrictions 
  11. Current Medical Examiner's Certificate
  12. 23 Years of age or older
 
Skills:
  1. Oral & written communication skills
  2. Must be able to speak, read and write in English in order to keep an accurate reports and DOT log entries, inspection reports, maintenance reports, and accident/incident reports
  3. Customer Service oriented
  4. Strong time-management skills – must be punctual and able to meet deadlines
  5. Proficient organizational skills
  6. Attentive to detail and able to maintain records per described requirements
  7. Dependability and Company loyalty required
  8. Ability to conduct all operations in a safe manner
 
Physical Requirements:
  1. Must be able to perform repetitive motion activities throughout the day
  2. Requires getting into and out of the truck frequently
  3. Must be able to lift and/or move 75 lbs on a regular basis
  4. Must be able to work 10-12 hours per day, 5 days/week 
  5. Drug and Alcohol screening required
  6. Full background check required
